Who We Are

9th Street Locals 2014

The 9th Street Locals have moved thousands of tons of earth, shovel by shovel. 25 years ago the park was flat ground. Now it is dotted with hundreds of dirt mounds sculpted to perfect form. Countless hard working people call 9th Street home. It has been built with pride and back breaking manual labor.

As an unicorporated non-profit organization known as; "9th Street BMX", we work with the City of Austin and Austin Parks.org to the benefit of the park. If you get a chance to visit, please take a moment watch how things work. Be friendly, talk to a local rider. Please pick up your trash and have fun.
